Mike Vick's True Colors

Michael Vick has been in the news an awful lot lately, but it has been for all the wrong reasons. Vick is allegedly tied to a dog-fighting ring after dozens of injured dogs were found on his Virginia property. Vick has denied any wrongdoing in the matter, but more and more insiders are claiming that Vick not only knew of what was going on, he actively participated in the dog-fighting. This really should not be seen as a surprise, but the sad thing is that Vick still doesn't get it. He does not accept responsibility, and he has not changed his behavior despite all of the negative media attention he is receiving. Recently Vick has flipped off his home fans, been caught at the airport with a weed carrying water bottle (allegedly), and been connected to an organized dog-fighting ring. As the video posted below illustrates, Vick still believes that people love him, and he feels that no matter what he does, he will come out on top. In the end, Vick is nothing more than a punk, thug who is one of the most overrated QBs of his era.
Here are some other Vick tidbits:

  • Remember when Marcus Vick was getting into all kinds of trouble at Virginia Tech, and the media wondered why he was so much different from his brother Michael. Well, now it is clear that Michael and Marcus are all too similar, and Michael just did a better job of keeping his problems out of the spotlight (until now).

  • The great Mike Vick has a career QB Rating of 75.7 and a completion percentage of 53.8. These are terrible numbers, and they are exactly why the Falcons struggle nearly every year. Vick cannot make plays from the pocket, and many defenses have figured him out for what he is, a terrific athlete who cannot play QB.

  • The media has consistently made excuses for Vick's failures as a passer, such as: "He doesn't have good enough receivers," or "He has played in too many different offensive systems." Enough is enough. Let's call a spade a spade and understand that Vick just is not a good quarterback. He he been the one constant throughout the offensive struggles in Atlanta, and it is weak that many members of the media continue to give him a free pass.

  • Vick showed how dumb he is after the whole weed carrying water-bottle incident. Just when it seemed as though everyone had forgotten about it, Vick opens his mouth and claims that he stores jewelry in the bottle and that the airport owes him for lost jewelry. What an idiot. All he had to do was keep his mouth shut, and the whole incident would have been forgotten, but he spoke up and brought himself right back into the controversy.

  • Lastly, the video below shows his true ignorance. He thinks that no matter what he does, people will love him. He is the classic example of an arrogant, cocky athlete who doesn't understand how good he has it. Also, at the end of the clip he says "no comment" when asked if he will be exonerated. I am pretty sure that he says this because he doesn't know what exonerated means, what do you think?
