The Fat Guy Five-Turkey Edition

Im going to throw in the two Thanksgiving Day games into my picks. The way I have been picking, I need some help.

Atlanta @ Detroit--Atlanta has lost their last two games, and at 6-4 they need to start winning if they want to reach the playoffs. Last week, Michael Vick threw for over 300 yards, but costly fumbles lost them the game to Tampa Bay. The Lions are still impossible to figure out. I don't trust their offense, and I think that the Falcons defense will shut them down enough to win.

Denver @ Dallas--The Broncos are playing as well as anyone. Mike Anderson is playing well and looks fresh for a 32 year old. If Mike Shannahan can continue to keep Jake Plummer out of turnover situations, the Broncos will have a shot of winning the AFC. They are 4-1 against winning teams this year, and they are 2-1 against the NFC East. Dallas should give them a game, but I would look for Mike Anderson to be the difference in this one. DEN 27 DAL 20.

The five other games worth checking out this weekend.
5. New England @ Kansas City--Kansas City has been one of the more inconsistent teams this season. This is largely due to their pass defense which is one of the worst in the league. Larry Johnson has played well on offense, but Trent Green needs to make more plays for them to be successful. New England has been decimated by injuries season, but they are sill in position to win the AFC East. Their defense isn't enough to keep Kansas City from winning this one. KC 30 NE 17.
4. San Diego @ Washington--The Redskins are reeling, and San Diego continues to make a move towards the final wild card spot. Mark Brunell is starting to slow down after a great start which has to raise the question of his play from last year. With Brunell's age, it was only a matter of time before he came back to Earth. For San Diego, Antonio Gates will be less than 100% after injuring his ankle last week. Look for Ladanian Tomlinson to get some extra carries and Drew Brees to continue playing effeiciently at quarterback. The Skins will continue their spiral downward in this one. SD 24 WAS 13.
3. New York Giants @ Seattle--Speaking of teams playing well, the Seahawks look like they might be the team to beat in the NFC. They have won six games in a row, and Shawn Alexander is having an MVP caliber season. Thanks to Alexander's running, Matt Hasselbeck is also having a great year. The Giants need Eli Manning to be more consistent if they want to reach the post season. They also need to get Tiki Barber more touches as he seemed to disappear from their gameplan last week. Considering that this game is in Seattle, I like the Seahawks to win this one.
SEA 27 NYG 24.
2. Chicago @ Tampa Bay--The Bears almost have me believing after their big win over Carolina last week. Their defense is as good as it gets, and they should have another good performance against Chris Simms. The Bucs are finding ways to win, and Cadillac Williams appears to be coming back to form. This one will be a defensive struggle, but I think that the Bears will continue to make believers out of people. CHI 13 TB 10.
1. Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis--Peyton Manning proved himself again last week, and the Colts continue to look for the first undefeated season since the 72 Dolphins. The Steelers will try and rebound from a bad loss at the hands of the Ravens last week. The return of Ben Roethlisberger should help them put some points on the board. The Colts offense will be the difference in this game. The Steelers are good defensively, but their secondary does not have what it takes to stop all of the Colts offensive weapons. In the dome, the Colts will take the next step towards an unbeaten season. IND 30 PITT 17.
Last Week:2-4
Season to date: 4-8
